John Holman practices in both the litigation and prosecution sections of the firm. Prior to attending law school, John worked as a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Washington, D.C., where he examined more than 300 patent applications across a wide variety of technologies. He has examined patents related to hunting, fishing, weaponry, ordinances, explosives, and plant and animal husbandry.
During law school, Mr. Holman worked as an intern for United States Magistrate Judge Caroline Craven in the Eastern District of Texas. His experience in the Patent and Trademark Office and in the patent-heavy docket in the Eastern District of Texas benefits both his litigation and prosecution practice, which is largely focused on protecting clients’ intellectual property rights in the energy sector.
